No — Intake sits comfortably on the outside of your nose. The magnets are secured on the ends of the reusable Band, and the breathing Tabs (which contain a steel disk the magnet attaches to) adhere to the outer skin on your nose, just above each nostril. Nothing goes inside.
Yes. Intake was originally designed for motocross and high-intensity sports where sweat, movement, and helmets make adhesion tough. Apply to clean, dry skin, press firmly for 10–15 seconds, and they'll stay put through workouts and full nights of sleep.
Intake can open your nose up to 70% wider than disposable nasal strips. Intake is a strong, rigid Band that comfortably holds your nose open to a fixed point. Nasal strips collapse upon inhale and don't hold your nose open as wide. Plus, nasal strips pull the skin off the bridge of your nose — they're painful and leave your nose red and irritated. Intake won't do that. The Band pulls from medical-grade adhesive that gently holds to the sides of your nose.
Yes! Most people don't even realize they have restricted airflow — 4 in 5 people have some degree of nasal dysfunction. It's not until they wear Intake that they notice the difference. Intake uses medical-grade, hypoallergenic adhesive that is latex-free, FDA registered, and made in the USA. Always apply Tabs to clean, dry skin — use the included prep wipes or non-moisturizing soap and water, and let it dry before placing your Tabs. If you experience any irritation, stop using the product for two days.

Absolutely! Nose breathing during activity is more important than you may think. Nose breathing has been proven to boost oxygen absorption, lower your heart rate, optimize performance, and so much more. Intake is suitable for the vast majority of sports, activities, and training regimens. We designed Intake specifically with both athletes and the average gym-goer in mind, and we're happy to say that we hold up exceptionally well for everything from football to yoga to motocross. The only sports that might compromise Intake's wear time are those with substantial facial contact, such as grappling or boxing, and water sports.
No. Intake is an external nasal dilator. It temporarily and gently supports the nasal valve to improve airflow while worn — your nose returns to baseline when removed.
